Pollux works under
Mac OS X,
and X Windows.
Pollux is a program which creates a mapping between database tables and Java classes. It allows you to retrieve and store objects from a database instead of numbers, strings, and dates. It generates Data Access Objects that will read and write to the database. Pollux also generates value object classes, DDL, and Struts ActionForms.
The generated code is highly readable and can be easily modified. The data access objects stand alone, in other words you don't have to link to a library JAR. Pollux is a good solution for general database access, but it's especially useful for programmers who may want to hand-tweak the low-level database code.
